For all of you out there I wanted to let you know about this very sweet couple that I've met through eBay. I've privatly e-mailed with them a lot and they've grown in leaps and bounds.
She started selling things from around their house and then started buying things she knew a bit about to re-sell on eBay.
Now she got her hands on a bunch of really nice sunglasses that were made by Grateful Dead Promotions to re-sell.
I'm starting this blog hoping to help this couple 'make it'. They really deserve a break and I'd like to help them to get it.
and I know she'd appreciate you stopping by and maybe even picking something up for your favorite DeadHead? Maybe click her donation button or sign her guest book.
KEEP READING THERE'S MORE TO IT THAN A SALES PITCH
From what I understand both she and her husband are disabled and the computer is new this last two years to their lives. It came from a friend that said it would change their lives. Their friend was right!
According to the last excited e-mail she had just started this website and invested in another 600 pair of these sunglasses. She was really worried about extending her credit, but like she said; " I just took a deep breath and jumped in, cause there's no other way to do it!"
What she was referring to is that this last year selling on Ebay and not having this great a product was like dipping her toe in. $100 investments weren't as frightening. Things that didn't sell could always double as birthday/holday gifts for people. She could pay off the credit card easy on those type of purchases
These sunglasses were a new product line that was about to be introduced to the world when Jerry Garcia passed away. They were warehoused and forgotten.
UNTIL NOW.
She has all that there are according to her source.
There are a limited amount available and she's selling them very inexpensivly.
They retailed from $50-$125 and she sells them for $20-35 including shipping.
She and Uncle Jeffrey are both pushing 50. She was thrown in the streets at 15!
'When you ain't got much, you got nothin' to lose' isn't really true.
I told her that the Universe would provide
She agrees by sending a smiley emoticon
I am here bloggin away trying to help the Universe along
She says it's the first time in her life that she's ever gambled this way, because this type of opportunity has never presented itself to her before.
I think these people are at one of those magical, wonderful places that our lives get to sometimes. You know what I mean? A juncture. A crossroads. A stepping stone.
So if you've ever wished you could have helped some one but weren't there to do it, maybe you can make up for it with these nice people?
A story she told me exemplifies this.
[Remember this woman was homeless at 15]
Her mother once told her that a neighbor was in an abusive relationship and she helped this woman partly because hopefully some one would help her if she needed it. Uncle Jeffrey's wife thought it was odd that this stranger could live with her Mom but not her.
The moral of the story should not be lost here, right? Just trying to give you a little background on these folks. I've mostly talked with her but it's odd I still call her Uncle jeffrey in the e-mails! haha!
When you go to the website, you'll hear the song Voodoo Chile playing in the background. That's Uncle Jeffrey's Roadside Circus. It used to be a real band!
So come along if you can
and help the universe along
with charity
we roll along
roll along
roll along
